New Orleans is an American city rich in history and culture. The “Big Easy” is famous for its delicious cuisine, vibrant music scene, and one of the wildest parties on Earth.

Take a short video tour and see what you can do with “A Busy Day in New Orleans,” including a walk in the French Quarter, City Park, and the Garden District:

“A busy day in New Orleans starts with a walk through Jackson Square, past the St. Louis cathedral. Music can be heard at all hours in this famous city. Stop by Cafe Du Monde and continue on your way.

Next, take a stroll along the banks of the Mississippi River. Along this nice path, you’ll see the Monument to the Immigrant as well as the Holocaust Memorial. There’s also an aquarium down here.

Get around the French Quarter on foot, pedicab, or horse-drawn carriage. If you want to see other parts of the city, take a ride on one of the historic streetcars.

For lunch, head to the Parkway Bakery and Tavern, a local institution. Snack on some fried pickles and order up a NOLA classic – a po’ boy sandwich.

Walk off lunch with a visit to City Park. You can check out the art museum, the sculpture garden, or take a gondola ride.

In the evening, go to the city’s Garden District to do a self-guided walking tour of the many historic homes here. You’ll also walk by the Lafayette Cemetery. As you can see, people in New Orleans go all-out with home decorations.

Back in the French Quarter, hit the infamous Bourbon Street and grab a drink at one of the many bars. You might see some street performers here as well.

Walking past the statue of Joan of Arc, you’ll reach Frenchman Street. There’s live music all up and down this street, and even on it. Just another day in the Big Easy…”
