Asheville Day One Video Posted by on Jun 26, 2018 in Culture

What can you do with 72 hours in Asheville? Quite a lot, actually! Join us for an awesome 3-day tour of this beautiful city in the mountains of North Carolina.

72 Hours in Asheville (Part One)

Drinks with a view!

The first day includes a visit to the historic Biltmore Estate and a trip downtown for drinks, dinner, and some live music.

“Our trip in Asheville begins at the historic Biltmore Estate. This is the largest privately owned house in the United States. It’s a beautiful place to visit and it’s quite huge. You’ll need at least half a day to explore the home and the gardens. Be sure you stop in the village before you leave to enjoy a tour and a tasting at the winery.

Next up, we’re headed downtown. If you’re visiting on a Friday, you can catch the big drum circle in Pritchard Park. Even if you don’t have a drum to bang on, you’re welcome to show up and dance! A common sight in Asheville is groups of musicians busking – this is when you play on the street for tips.

You may even see a pub-cycle ride by. It’s a moving bar on a bicycle.

While you’re down here, you should take the old school elevator up to Sky Bar. They’ve got great cocktails here and even better views of Asheville. Here you’ll see why it’s known as the Land of the Sky.

You’ve got lots of choices for dinner downtown. One of my favorites is the Blue Dream Curry House. Try one of their delicious naan tacos or just stick to a classic green curry, and pair it with a North Carolina craft beer.

Speaking of craft beer, it’s everywhere here! Head into Asheville Brewing Company where you can order up a flight to sample four of their beers.

There’s live music every night of the week in Asheville, so get out there and rock out!”
