20 Motivational Sayings In German Posted by on Jul 31, 2017 in Language

Guten Tag! Ich hoffe, es geht euch gut! 🙂 Sometimes we lack in motivation, be it for our work, chores – and even our language learning. At times it can feel like we’ve hit a wall, like we aren’t good enough, or like our efforts over the months aren’t paying off. But that’s not true. Whenever I feel like that, I like to look up some motivational words to get myself back on track. Today I’d like to share that posivity with you all by giving you 20 motivational/inspirational phrases in German. If you see one you like, why not write it down, stick it in your study/work area, and let that remind you that whatever it is you need to do, you can do it.

Remember, it is normal to feel demotivated and uninspired from time to time when learning a language. But the fact that you’re reading this blog right now means you’re dedicated and are making progress, even if you can’t see it. Which one of the above is your Lieblingsspruch (favourite saying)? What techniques do you use when you feel unmotiviert (unmotivated)? I look forward to hearing from you.

Tschüß! Mach’s gut!

    Dear Constanze,
Thank u very much for this great post and the collection of Sprüche. My favorite one is about being always happy. It really annoys people the most! 😉 Wie heißt in Deusch Every cloud has a silver lining? Vielen Dank! Bis zum nächsten mal!

    • Constanze:

@RAUL I like that one, too. 😉 And yes:

“Jede Wolke hat einen silbernen Rand” – “Every cloud has a silver lining”

“Auch die dunkelste Wolke hat einen silbernen Rand” – “Even the darkest cloud has a silver lining”

Glad you enjoyed the post. 🙂

This was absolutely awesome! I’m going to learn all of these and put them up when I’m working or doing school (which I start today) to help me through my senior year 😊👏
