The Grinch é um personagem criado pelo escritor Dr. Seuss e apareceu pela primeira vez no livro infantil de 1957 How the Grinch Stole Christmas!. Fez tanto sucesso que em 1966 a produtora Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer fez um especial para TV, dirigido por Chuck Jones. Devido à grande demanda, Dr. Seuss também escreveu um especial de Halloween com The Grinch. Também virou filme com Jim Carrey no papel principal.

The Grinch é também conhecido como ‘Michael Managhan’ e é um rabujento que odeia a Whoville, cidade onde se passam as histórias e ele sempre está pronto para arruinar as coisas.
