A forma das datas em inglês americano diferem um pouco da forma em português. Aqui escrevemos

16 de março de 2011 (dezesseis de março de dois mil e onze)

Em inglês americano vem primeiro o mês, o dia e o ano. Lembre-se também de que o dia é escrito em numeral ordinal. Veja como fica a data acima:

March 16, 2011 – March sixteenth, two thousand and eleven ou the sixteenth of March, two thousand and eleven

Veja como ficam as abreviações dos meses na forma escrita.

January (Jan.) – Febmary (Feb.) – March (Mar.) – April (APr.) – May (May) – June (June) – July (July) – August (Aug.) – September (Sept.) – October (Oct.) – November (Nov.) – December (Dec.)
