Here is a useful list of articoli per il bagno (toiletries), with some expressions that you might want to use if you find yourself in Italy or you have some Italian guests staying with you:

il dentifricio = the toothpaste, e.g. il dentifricio è quasi finito (the toothpaste has almost run out)

lo spazzolino da denti = the toothbrush, e.g.preferisco uno spazzolino da denti con le setole dure (I prefer a toothbrush with hard bristles)

il filo interdentale = the floss, e.g. questo filo interdentale è troppo spesso (this floss is too thick)

la saponetta = the hand soap, e.g. questa saponetta ha un buon profumo (this hand soap smells nice)

il sapone liquido = the liquid soap, e.g. bisogna ricaricare il sapone liquido (the liquid soap needs  refilling)

lo shampoo = the shampoo, e.g. vorrei uno shampoo per capelli secchi (I would like a shampoo for dry hair)

il balsamo = the hair conditioner, e.g. questo balsamo all’olio d’oliva è ottimo (this hair conditioner with olive oil is very good)

il pettine = the comb, e.g. il pettine è rotto, devo comprarne uno nuovo (the comb is broken, I need to buy a new one)

la spazzola per i capelli = the hairbrush, e.g. mi serve una nuova spazzola per i capelli (I need a new hairbrush)

l’asciugacapelli  commonly known as il fon = the hairdryer, e.g. mi puoi prestare il fon, per favore? (can I borrow the hairdryer, please?)

la spugna = the sponge, e.g. questa è una spugna naturale (this is a natural sponge)

il bagnoschiuma =  the bubble bath, e.g. penso di aver esagerato col bagnoschiuma! (I think I went over the top with the bubble bath!)

il gel doccia = the shower gel, e.g. avete del gel doccia per pelle delicata? (have you got any shower gel for sensitive skin?)

l’asciugamano = the towel, e.g. l’asciugamano per gli ospiti è quello bianco (the guests’ towel is the white one)

il telo da bagno = the bath-towel, e.g. se desideri farti una doccia, questo è il telo da bagno (if you want to have a shower, this is the bath-towel)

l’accappatoio = the bathrobe, e.g. preferisci usare l’accappatoio o il telo da bagno? (would you rather use the bathrobe or the bath-towel?)

il tappetino da bagno = the bath mat, e.g. dove posso stendere il tappetino da bagno ad asciugare? (where can I hang the bath mat to dry?)

la carta igienica = the toilet paper, e.g. aiuto, è finita la carta igienica! (help, the toilet paper has run out!)
