Korean people have been contributing to classical music for awhile now. The following Korean people are celebrated specialists in the field of classical music. They are the pride and joy of Korea, so you may have heard of them!
Hanna Chang (장한나) is a famous cellist. Ironically, her first instrument was the piano, not the cellist. She grew to love the cello and played for prestigious orchestras all over the world. Hanna has also debuted as a conductor, and continues to be in demand in the classical music world.
Yiruma (이루마) is a famous pianist, composer, and classically trained musician in South Korea. People all over Asia, the U.S. and Europe flock to see him play the piano at sold out shows. He has also released several albums over a period of ten years.
