Because #2 Posted by on Sep 21, 2015 in Uncategorized

There are more grammar patterns of “Because” in Korean you need to know because it is very useful when you are learning Korean. Today grammar pattern is “V.S + (으)니까”: When the V.S. is ending with consonant, you need to add 으. If it is vowel ending, just add 니까. For instance, to see 보다 – 보니까, busy 바쁘다 – 바쁘니까, to eat 먹다 – 먹으니까, to go 가다 – 가니까, to meet 만나다 – 만나니까, etc.

He can’t go out because he is watching a news/ 뉴스 보니까 못 나가요/ news bo ni ca moc na ga yo.

Let’s meet tomorrow morning because I am busy now/ 지금 바쁘니까 내일 아침에 만나요/ ji kum ba bbu ni ca nae il a chim ae man na yo.

Why don’t we eat spicy food for dinner because we are eating plain food now?/ 지금 담백한 음식 먹으니까 저녁에는 매운 음식 먹지 않을래요?/ ji kum dam baek han eum sic meok eu ni ca jeo neok ae nun mae un eum sic moek ji an eul lae yo?
