Because #3 Posted by on Sep 28, 2015 in Uncategorized

This is the last grammar pattern of “Because” I have for you. “V.S. + 아/어 서”: When V.S. is ending with consonant, use 어. If it is vowel ending, use 아 or just take off “다”.  For instance, to read 읽다 – 읽어서, to eat 먹다 -먹어서, to sleep 자다 – 자서, to write 쓰다 – 써서, to see 보다 보아서- 봐서. Please see more examples below

To see 보다 – 보아서 – 봐서 (abbreviation)

He can’t go out because he is watching a news/ 뉴스 봐서 못 나가요/ news bwa seo moc na ga yo.

봐서 is much more common than 보아서, use only 봐서.

To come 오다 – 와서

I am busy because my brother came/ 형이 와서 바빠요/ hyung e wa seo ba bba yo.

We will eat spicy food for dinner because we are eating plain food now/ 지금 담백한 음식 먹어서 저녁에는 매운 음식 먹을 거예요/ ji kum dam baek han eum sic meok eu ni ca jeo neok ae nun mae un eum sic moek eul geo ae yo.

To watch 보다 – 봐서

I can’t meet you because I am watching important news now/ (제가) 지금 중요한 뉴스를 봐서 못 만나요/ (jae ga) ji gum jung yo han news lul bo gi ddae mun ae (neo lul) moc man nay o.
