Korean Soft Drinks Posted by on Sep 13, 2010 in Uncategorized

The market for Korean soft drinks is growing every year. Here are some Korean soft drinks you’ve probably heard of :

Bacchus  (박카스) is an energy drink. The commercials for Bacchus focus on people drinking Bacchus after a hard day’s work.

Chilsung Cider (칠성사이다) is like a carbonated soda. The reason why I love this video is because it’s not an actual commercial but someone thought of a good idea of how to advertise it:

Milkis (밀키스) is a creamy soft drink. I love this commercial because it’s so funny. The girl acts innocent when a couple of gangsters show up. When she drinks Milkis suddenly,…well you’ll see what happens :

Watching Korean commercials is a great way to understand some of the nuances of Korean culture. Let’s face it, some of them are just darn funny to watch and a great time killer.
