How to say “let’s” in Korean (Part 3) Posted by on Feb 15, 2016 in Uncategorized

Today, you will learn the last way to say “Let’s” in Korean which is what I like to use a lot as a teacher. The grammar pattern is V.S. Using 읍시다 is not for you if you are not in higher level than others. For instance, teacher, boss, supervisor, manager can use 읍시다 to their employees and students.  As I teacher, I can say to my student, “let’s take a short break/잠깐 휴식합시다/ Jam Kan hue sik hab si da.” However, the students can’t say to me because it is rude to say to the teacher.  This blog is for your listening skills probably, not speaking.

To eat

Let’s eat!

To go 가다

Let’s go!

To watch 보다 *irregular

Let’s watch!

To sleep

Let’s go to bed!

To study

Let’s study!

*Reminder: you have use 읍시다 with consonant ending and ㅂ 시다 with vowel ending.
