Today, you will learn how to say “Shall we?” in Korean. The grammar point is “V.S. + (을) 까요?” You can use this expression to pretty much anyone because this is polite and kindness way to express “Shall we” in Korean. I often say to my co-worker who is older than me, “Shall we go have lunch?” Please read and study the examples below.

To eat 먹다

먹다 + 을(ㄹ) 까요 = 먹을까요?     *Shall we eat lunch?/ (우리) 점심 먹을까요?

To watch 보다

보다 + 을(ㄹ) 까요 = 볼까요?  * Shall we watch the Iron Man?/ (우리) 아이런 맨 볼까요?

To go 가다

가다 + 을(ㄹ) 까요 = 갈까요?  *Shall we go to school?/ (우리) 학교에 갈까요?

To stop 그만하다

그만하다 + 을(ㄹ) 까요 = 그말할까요?  *Shall we stop doing exercise? (우리) 운동 그만할까요?

To rest 쉬다

쉬다 + 을(ㄹ) 까요  = 쉴까요?   *Shall we take rest? (우리) 쉴까요?
