What is in your beach bag? Posted by on Jun 30, 2021 in Grammar, Holidays, Vocabulary

Summer is here it has been a pretty hot one so far – here in New Hampshire, and I’m pretty sure in most of the USA. Beach is perfect for hot days of course, so what is usually in your beach bag?

We are packing the coolers, loading up our cars, and getting ready to soak up some sun. Time to put away bulky purses, backpacks and swap them out for beach bag!

I know that we are all different and that we all probably pack our beach bags our own way. But there are for sure some essentials that we all have with us when heading to the beach.

Here is what I bring with me 😎🌞

SunglassesOkulary słoneczne

Sunglasses are essential for a day at the beach. While you may be tempted to bring your name-brand sunglasses to the beach, opt for a cheaper pair – you’d hate to lose your expensive shades in the water! Sometimes I bring two pairs and leave the nicer ones for after the beach, when I go out to eat.

SunscreenKrem przeciwsłoneczny/krem do opalania

I usually bring both cream and spray with me. I also bring a “scalp sunscreen”. My daughters have dark hair and their scalps always get burn…I discover this sunscreen for your scalp and hair couple years ago and use it all the time!

Beach TowelsRęczniki plażowe

And there is never enough of them!

Quick Dry Towels Szybkoschnące ręczniki

I love these, especially to get them wet and cool off your face.

Beach hatKapelusz słoneczny

Whether it’s a wide-brim or a baseball cap, choice is yours.

Interesting bookCiekawa książka

An easy read is perfect for the beach…nothing  “too heavy” and sad. I like to bring “happy books” with me.

Flip flops Klapki

Every trip to the beach requires flip flops! Just like sunglasses – choose not the expensive ones.

Waterproof phone case/pouch  Wodoodporny pokrowiec na telefon

Good idea, especially if you want to get these amazing water splashing pictures!

Toy zabawka

Most people with kids will bring a separate bag with water toys, I just trow in couple water bouncing balls in my bag, since my kids are older now.

WaterWoda

Very important to stay hydrated in the heat.

These are my essentials! Sometimes I bring some extra things with me…

I wanted to make sure that they can communicate with their Polish relatives in our native language. Teaching them Polish since they were born was the best thing I could have given them! I have been writing about learning Polish language and culture for Transparent Language’s Polish Blog since 2010.

I like to bring a few salty snacks and money in case the ice cream truck comes by for something frozen and sweet!
