Olá, pessoal!

Have you ever had to return something to a store? What was it like? Well, I witnessed a dialogue at a store these days and I thought I’d share it with you (we never know when we are going to need it, right?)

Na Loja – At The Store

Atendente: Bom dia! Pois não, senhora? [Good morning! What can I do for you, ma’am?]

[I’d like to talk to the manager, please.]

Atendente: Claro, talvez eu possa ajudar se a senhora quiser adiantar o assunto. [Sure, maybe I can help you if you tell me what it’s about.]

[Well, I bought this blender here yesterday and I was surprised to find out this morning that it’s not working properly.]

[Do you have the receipt with you?]

Senhora: Claro, está aqui. [Sure, here it is.]

[OK, ma’am, no problem at all. Would you prefer to exchange it for another one to have a refund?]

[I’d like another one, sure, I really need a new blender, that’s why I bought it in the first place.]

Atendente: Tudo bem. Só um minuto. Vou pegar um novo para a senhora. [All right. It’ll just be a minute. I’ll get a new one for you.]

Senhora: Obrigada. Agradeço sua ajuda. [Thank you. I appreciate your help.]
