My favorite is “Rudy’s Churrascaria”, in Germantown, Ohio (south of Dayton). Very much a family feel to the restaurant, and the owner & his wife are very personable, greeting every customer warmly. The food is also very good there.

Locally here in San Diego, my high-end favorite is Rei do Gado, a classy churrascaria. If I want a more casual, “comfort food” style, there’s a small cafe I love called “Brazil by the Bay” where I really enjoy the estrogonofe de frango, with a coxinha or kibe to start me off!

Of course, I love the churrascarias too but my 2 favorite restaurants to visit are Beetche’s Brazilian Cafe and Par’s, located just north of Dallas. I have taken many of my Brazilian friend to Beetche’s and they always leave happy. It is a buffet style restaurant where you can always get the favorites like pão de queijo, feijoada, farofa e arroz; along with many other great dishes. Par’s has a totally different atmosphere. It is a supermarket with a small restaurant inside. The food is great but the people are amazing. I feel like I am visiting my friends in Rio when I go there.

Fogo de Chão is great (I’ve been to the one in Chicago several times), but we have recently (2 years ago now) been lucky enough to have an authentic churrascaria open here nearby in Northville, Michigan (a suberb in the greater Detroit metropolitan area) called Gaúcho Brazilian Steakhouse. The food is always excellent and I’ve gotten to know the owner and a few of the staff… great people who always make me feel at home (in the best Brazilian sense).
When I was in NYC about 3 years ago I went to a VERY small place in Hell’s Kitchen called Beans and Rice and had some incredible feijoada.

There is one Brasialian restaurant opened a year ago in Milwaukee, Wisconsin I went with my wife the name of tes restaurante is SABOR , and ii is all you can eat steak , chicken etc just like I saw in Porto Alegre when I visited 5 years ago. Like the churrasqueria;
I practiced my poor Portugese they were happy that I could falar some that the waiter talked to me only in Portugese, I told him also translate in English for my wife and everybody were happy. It is a li8ttle expensive like $40 per person I intendto go back again when my son visits me in December the soda I orderr was a GUARANA antartiaca. Over we enjoyed.
Brazilian Restaurant Guide:
I loved all suggestions here. That’s exactly what we are doing… we want to gather the Brazilian Restaurants all in one place. The Brazilian Restaurant Guide (free to read/free to post website) was created to show that there is at least one Brazilian Restaurant in each American state.
