In Brazil, soccer is life, and your favorite local team can define who you are. While everyone roots for the national team, rivalries run deep amongst city teams, where the heart of Brazilian soccer really lies.

So for today’s interactive feature, the question is: what’s your favorite Brazilian soccer team?

In Rio de Janeiro, there are four teams: Fluminense, Vasco, Flamengo and Botafogo. I don’t have a preference, since attending a game to see any of the teams play is a wonderful cultural experience.

    Well, i’d have to say my favorite Brazilian club team is Sao Paulo. Hands down. I have a brazilian friend and that is his team as well. So, when learning about all the club teams that are in brazil Sao Paulo was the one i naturally gravitated to because, i knew the most about it.
    Now, I have really grown to appreciate there style of play, and how the business side of the team is run. They are one of the most economic club teams in brazil. Meaning they spend the least amount of money on players. But, they keep winning as a team. They are a very honest franchise.
    Also, they have the best goalkeeper in the game, i think. Rogerio Ceni. He’s sick!
    Not to mention they are the most successful club team in Brazil, holding the most national league and international titles of any Brazilian club.

    Flamengo of course. Is my time by heart, and we are the bigger ‘torcida’ in Brazil. Mengão sempre!

    i like all teams ! but wut i’m really into is brazil!! i’m sure that we will win the 2010 world’s cup and i’m sure dat we will do the best!! we’ll show wut we got on the field ….. cuz dats all about!!!!!!!! brazil is # 1 and it will always be!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sao Paulo is simply the Best. It is an honour to be the best team in the best country. (Soccer wise) Do not want to get too cocky here.

    I watch african cup of nations 2010 online but nothing compares to the brazilian soccer.. they are awesome
    again I have no preference about which team as long as there are beautiful soccer match to watch
