Most everyone knows Niagara Falls at the border of the United States and Canada, but have you heard of Iguaçu Falls at the border of Brazil and Argentina? These cachoeiras (waterfalls) are massive with a width of almost two miles and tons of little ilhas (islands) splitting the falls up into different parts.

While most of the falls are in Argentina, Brazil has a portion in the state of Paraná and most of the rio (river) is in Brazil. They are very close to the Paranaense (from Paraná) city of Curitiba.

Traveling to Iguaçu Falls can be a little expensive, but after going there, everyone says that it is worth it! It’s on my bucket list to visit one day. Here is a video showing the falls:
