Si recordáis, la semana pasada estuvimos hablamos sobre las cosas más populares que hacer si visitáis España, y hoy voy a completar la lista.

  5. Culturizarse

Si os gustan el arte y la pintura, tenéis una gran variedad de opciones, dependiendo de la ciudad que visitéis. En Madrid es obligatorio ir al Prado y el Reina Sofía, donde encontraréis el famoso Guernica de Picasso. Y si os gusta Dalí, como es mi caso, os encantará visitar Barcelona. Pero si os aburrís en los museos, no os preocupéis, el museo Guggennheim de Bilbao es una maravilla arquitectónica en si mismo, ¡y no hace falta entrar!

  6. Ver un espectáculo flamenco

Encontraréis un montón de restaurantes y bares donde hacerlo mientras cenáis o tomáis algo.

  7. Visitar la Barcelona de Gaudí

El parque Guell, la casa Batllo y la Sagrada familia son maravillas arquitectónicas que no podéis perderos.

  8. Comer paella y tortilla española

La comida española es increible, y hay muy diferentes platos típicos dependiendo de la zona que estéis visitando, pero la paella valenciana y la tortilla española parecen ser las más populares entre los extranjeros. Tenéis que probarlas, y ¡sería todavía mejor si aprendieseis cómo prepararlas!

  9.Viajar con tu imaginación a la Granada nazarí en la Alhambra

Hay miles de cosas que hacer en Granada, pero si no podéis ir a Sierra Nevada, las montañas más altas del país, o dar un paseo por el Albaicín, al menos debéis visitar la Alhambra y dejar que la magia del agua juegue con vuestros sentidos, mientras imagináis a Washington Irving escribiendo sobre princesas cautivas y sus amantes Abencerrajes.

  10. Disfrutar de una buena siesta

Aunque me temo que no tendréis tiempo para ello, podéis probar lo que es considerado (al menos yo lo hago) el deporte nacional: ¡la siesta!

Por supuesto, hay muchas más cosas que hacer, pero quería reducir esta lista a un top ten, así que dejaré de lado el Rastro de Madrid, esquiar en Sierra Nevada o los Pirineos, ver a la gente por las Ramblas (Barcelona), o perderse en alguna ciudad medieval como Toledo. Alguna gente también mencionó los San Fermines o los toros como su prioridad (entiendo que puedan ser considerados interesantes, ya que son parte de nuestra cultura, pero soy totalmente contraria a ellos). En cualquier caso, si estáis interesados en alguna ciudad en particular, hacédmelo saber y trataré de daros ideas más específicas.

If you remember, last week we were talking about some of the most popular things to do in case you visit Spain, and today now I´m going to complete the list.

  5. Get cultured

If you love arts and paintings, you have a wide range of options, depending on the city you visit. In Madrid it is a must to go to the Prado and the Reina Sofía museums, where you will find the famous Picasso´s Guernica. And if you like Dalí, as I do, you will love visiting Barcelona. But if you feel bored inside museums, don´t worry, the Guggennheim museum in Bilbao is an architectural wonder in itself, and you don´t have to go inside!

   6. See some flamenco show

You will find a lot of restaurants and bars where you can see it while you have dinner or some drink.

  7. Visit Gaudí´s Barcelona

The Guell Park, the Batllo house and the Sagrada Familia are architectural wonders you can´t miss.

  8.  Eat paella and Spanish omelet

Spanish food is incredible, and there are many different typical dishes depending on the area you are visiting, but Valencian paella and the Spanish omelet seem to be the most popular ones among foreigners. You have to taste them, and it will be even better if you learn how to cook them!

  9. Travel with your imagination to the Nasrid Granada in the Alhambra

There are thousands of things to do in Granada, but if you can´t go to Sierra Nevada, the highest mountains in the country, or take a walk in the Albaicin, at least you have to visit the Alhambra and let the magic of the water play with your senses, while you imagine Washington Irving writing about captive princesses and their Abencerraje lovers.

  10. Enjoy a good siesta

Even though I´m afraid you won´t have time for this, you can try what is considered (at least I do) our “national sport”:¡ the siesta!

Obviously, there are much more things to do, but I wanted to reduce the list to a top ten, so I´ll leave aside going to the second hand market in Madrid, skiing in Sierra Nevada or the Pirineos, looking at people in the Ramblas (Barcelona), or getting lost in some medieval city such as Toledo. Some people also mentioned San Fermines or bullfighting  as their musts (I understand it can be considered interesting, as it is part of our culture, although I´m completely against it) . Anyway, if you are interested in any particular city, just let me know and I´ll try to give you some more specific ideas.
