Popular Swedish Podcasts Posted by on Aug 21, 2017 in Culture, education

Radio podcasts and programs are a great way learning and practicing Swedish. So I have tried to found the most popular, interesting and funny pods and programs for you that most Swedes listen to. For you who wouldn’t know what a podcast is wikipedia says: A podcast is an episodic series of digital audio files which a user can download and listen to. It is often available for subscription, so that new episodes are automatically downloaded via web syndication to the user’s own local computer, mobile application, or portable media player. The word arose as a portmanteau of “iPod” (a brand of media player) and “broadcast”. Thus, the files distributed are in audio format, but may sometimes include other file formats such as PDF or ePub. Videos which are shared following a podcast model are called video podcasts or vodcasts.

  1. Kulturens ABC with actress Caisa Stina Forsberg and art director Cecilia Suhaid Gustafsson. In the pod you will hear current happenings in Gothenburg and Sweden which is almost the same. And everything from Tinder dating to fake psychosis and Tinder-dating experience. Download the podcasts here for free

2. Skäringer&Mannheimer with actress and comedian Mia Skäringer and journalist & columnist Anna Mannheimer (one of the funniest with an extremely good language in Swedish)Download the podcasts here for free

3. Sommar&Vinter i P1. One of the most popular podcasts (poddar) in Sweden. The pod is about famous and infamous Swedes talking for 45 minutes about their lives and presenting their favorite music that is often in connection with the content they talk about in the radio pod. 1. rusti:

The funniest podcast I’ve found in Swedish is Alex & Sigges Podcast, released weekly.

Konflikt i P1 is also a great production from SR if one is interested in geopolitics.

@rusti Hej! Yes I agree those are also great ones! 🙂
