A Love Letter To Mom Posted by on May 10, 2015 in Arabic Language, Culture, Vocabulary

Happy Mother's Day 2015

Happy Mother’s Day 2015

Beloved Mom,

This is your son writing on your day. Yes, they have made a day for you and if they had asked me, I would say that all days are yours. How come they are not yours and you are the reason I am here in this life!? All words in all languages are unable to express how much I love you. Poets have composed poetry, singers have chanted with your name and writers have finished pens but have they all come with what you deserve? I am neither a poet nor a singer but I can say that they haven’t.

Mom, Words are the dress in which we cover our feelings and for thirty-seven years I have been looking for that dress that is suitable for you and for the hidden feelings in my chest towards you. Every time I remember a moment that I spent with you – in your sorrow or in your happiness – I find it worth volumes of books to describe. Wherever my eyes look, I only see your face, whether you are here or not because you are always present in my eyes and heart.

Mom, Thanks for all what you have given. Thanks for every minute of pain you have had. Thanks for every minute of happiness you have given. Thanks for every piece of advice you have shared. Thanks for every single act of sacrifice that you never hesitated. Thank you, my candle in every dark spot. Thank you, my example in every crisis. And, Every Moment you are my Mom!

      Your Son
