Marhaba! I hope you all enjoyed learning about the 10 most common words about the Iran nuclear deal in Arabic. Others I am sure just refreshed their memory. Similar to my earlier advice on the 100 most common words in Arabic, learning new words is always a suitable boost in your academic journey of learning Arabic. In this post I am sharing the answers to the Arabic crossword puzzle from the previous post and some examples of how you can use these words in a sentence. I have also translated and transliterated every example so that you can learn how to read and pronounce every sentence properly.

Nuclear — نووي
Example: Many states have nuclear power plants.
Translation: كثير من الدول تملك معامل للطاقة النووية
Transliteration: ka-thir min al-du-wal tam-lik ma-a-mil lil-ta-qa al-na-wa-wi-ya

Bomb — قنبلة
Example: During the Second World War, the United States was the first country to produce a nuclear bomb
Translation: خلال الحرب العالمية الثانية, كانت الولايات المتحدة الاميركية أول دولة تنتج قنبلة نووية
Transliteration: khi-lal al-ha-rib al-ala-mi-ya al-tha-ni-ya, ka-nat al-wi-la-yat al-mut-ta-hi-da al-amir-ki-ya aw-wal daw-la tun-tij qun-bu-la na-wa-wi-ya

Proliferation — تكاثر
Example: The proliferation of nuclear weapons might trigger more wars.
Translation: ان تكاثر الاسلحة النووية قد يؤدي الى شن المزيد من الحروب
Transliteration: in-na ta-ka-thur al-as-li-ha al-na-wa-wi-ya qad yu-ad-di ila shan al-ma-zid min al-hu-rub

Sanctions — عقوبات
Example: International sanctions can cripple a state’s economy.
Translation: العقوبات الدولية قد تشلّ اقتصاد الدولة
Transliteration: al-u-qa-bat al-du-wa-li-ya qad tu-shil iq-ti-sad al-daw-la

Negotiations — مفاوضات
Example: The nuclear deal came out as a result of hours of negotiations.
Translation: الاتفاق النووي اتى نتيجة ساعات من المفاوضات
Transliteration: al-it-ti-faq al-na-wa-wi ata na-ti-jat sa-at min al-mu-fa-wa-dat

Inspections — رقابة
Example: Routine inspections by international institutions verify that states are not violating any terms.
Translation: رقابة منتظمة من قِبل منظمات دولية تأكد ان الدول لا تنتهك أي من الشروط
Transliteration: ra-qa-ba mun-ta-tha-ma min qi-bal mu-na-tha-mat du-wa-li-ya tu-ak-kid ana al-du-wal la tan-ta-hik ay min al-shu-rut

War — حرب
Example: The assassination of the leader of the biggest political party triggered a long war.
Translation: اغتيال قائد أكبر حزب سياسي أثار حرب طويلة
Transliteration: igh-ti-yal qa-id ak-bar hi-zib si-ya-si a-thar ha-rib ta-wi-la

Diplomacy — دبلوماسية
Example: Months of diplomacy led to the nuclear agreement between Iran, the United States and other states.
Translation: أشهر من الدبلوماسية أدت الى الاتفاق النووي بين ايران, الولايات المتحدة ودول أخرى
Transliteration: ash-hur min al-dib-lu-ma-si-ya ad-dat ila al-it-ti-faq al-na-wa-wi bay-na iran, al-wi-la-yat al-mut-ta-hi-da wa du-wal ukh-ra

Stockpile — مخزون
Example: Many states still have a stockpile of nuclear weapons.
Translation: الكثير من الدول ما زالت تملك مخزون من الاسلحة النووية
Transliteration: al-ka-thir min al-du-wal ma za-lat tam-lik makh-zun min al-as-li-ha al-na-wa-wi-ya

Weapons — أسلحة
Example: Weapons of mass destruction create an unsafe environment.
Translation: أسلحة الدمار الشامل تخلق جو غير آمن
Transliteration: as-li-hat al-da-mar al-sha-mil takh-liq jaw ghayr aa-min
