الثامن من 8 آذار/مارس، اليومُ الدَّوليِّ أو العالَميِّ للمرأةِ، اليوم الذي تحتفل بِه المجموعاتُ النسائيةُ في العالم أجمع،. تحفل وتهتم به الأُممُ المتحدةِ، حيث إن العديدَ من الدولِ كانت قد قرّرت جعلَهُ يومَ عيدٍ وطنيٍّ. تجتمعُ فيهِ بعضُ النساءِ محتفلات بهِ، مِنْ جميعِ القاراتِ، عابراتٍ الكثيرَ مِنَ الحدودِ الّتي تفصِلُ بَينهُنَّ، كالحدودِ الدولِيَّةِ ، والفروقِ العرقيَّةِ واللُّغويةِ والثقافيةِ والاقتصاديةِ والسياسيةِ يومُ المرأةِ العالميِّ.. ما هُوَ إلّا تعبيرٌ عن حكايةِ المرأةِ البسيطةِ، صانعةِ التاريخِ، منجبةِ أبطالِ هذا العالمِ، وعباقرَةِ هذا الزمانِ، من خلالِ مُطَالَبتِها بِبعضِ حقوقِها التي سَلَبَها منها الرجلُ والمجتمعُ بطريقٍ مباشرٍ أو غيرِ مباشر.
