لــِــنــَــســْــمــَــعْ حــَــتــَّــى نــَــرى ، و لــِــنــَــرى حــَــتــَّــى نــَــســْــمــَــعْ

     Ahlan Arabic fans! Today, I am going to tell you about a nice event that took place during the last month. From 20th – 27th September, 2014, the 7th round of the International Samaa’ Festival for spiritual Music and Chanting مــَــهــْــرَجــَـــانْ ســَــمــَــاع الــدَّوْلــِــي للإنــْــشــَـــاد و الــمــُــوســِــيــقــَــى الــرُّوحــِــيــَّــة was launched in Cairo. The festival was held under the patronage تــَــحــْــتَ رِعــَــايــَـــة of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture وزارة الــثــّــقــَــافـــَــة and in Cooperation with و بــِــالــتــَّــعــَــاوُنْ مــَــعَ  the Foreign Cultural Relations Sector قــِــطــَــاع الــعــَــلاقــَـــاتْ الــثــّــقــَــافــِــيــَّـــة الأجــْــنــَــبــِـــيــَّـــة and the Cultural Development Fund صــُــنــْــدُوق الــتــَّــنــْــمــِــيــَـــة الــثــَّــقــَــافــِــيـــَّـــة . Also, the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism وزارة الــســِّــيــَــاحــَــة  joined the festival and the Ministry of Antiquities وزارة الآثــَـــار and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs وزارة الــشــُّــئــُــون الــخــَــارجــِــيــَّـــة as well. The festival aims primarily at introducing the various arts, cultures and religious heritages of the colorful nations all over the world. It is like taking a mythical trip in a Sufi atmosphere that promotes peace الــســَّــلام , love الــمــَــحــَــبــَّـــة and human connection الــتــّــرَابــُــطْ الإنــْــســَــانــِــي in all religions. Intessar Abdel-Fattah إنــْــتــِــصــَــارْ عــَــبــْــد الــفــَــتــَّـــاح is the chef and founder of the festival and he directs all the participating bands and musical groups that came from more than 16 Arab and foreign countries.

Here, man is the homeland and the homeland is man

هــُــنــَــا الإنــْــســَــانُ هــُــوَ الــوَطــَــن ، و الــوَطــَــنُ هــُــوَ الإنــْــســَــان  

     Musical groups فــِــرَقْ مــُــوســِــقــِـــيــَّـــة from India الــهــِــنــْــد , Pakistan بــَــاكــِــســْــتــَــان , Indonesia إنــْــدُونــِــيــســْــيــَـــا , Bangladesh بــَــنــْــجــلاديــش , China الــصــِّــيــن , Bosnia الــبــُــوســْــنــَــة , Greece الــيــُــونــَــان , USA أمــْــريــكــَـــا , Zambia زامــْــبــيــَــا , Nigeria نــَــيــْــجــِــيــريــَـــا , Kuwait الــكــويــت , Jordan الأردُن , Syria ســُــوريــَــا , Tunisia تــُــونــُــسْ , Morocco الــمــَــغــْــرِب , and Egypt مــِــصــْــر participated in the musical events. It is also, worth to mention that all presentations were free of charge مــَــجــَّــانــِــيــَّــة and open to the audience الــجــُــمــْــهــُـــور in more than one historical place in Cairo. The founder and director Intessar Abdel-Fattah said, “The message of the festival is promoting the cultural dialogue الــحــِــوَار الــثــَّــقــَــافــِــي among nations through the spiritual channels that overcome all language differences”. He also added that;” The festival has achieved an international reputation ســُــمــْــعــَــة because it is a message of peace that was joined by 27 peace-loving countries”.

     The International Samaa’ Festival has honored كــَــرَّمَ four Egyptian and Arab names in the presence of فـِـي حــُــضــُــور the Egyptian Minister of Culture; Jabir Asfour جــَــابــِــر عــَــصـْــفــُــور . Among the honored figures was the name of the late Sheikh Sayid Al-Nakshabandi ســَــيــِّــد الــنــَّــقــْــشــَــبــَــنــْــدي (1920 – 1972) who was one of the most famous Islamic chanters. Among the honored figures was also Priest Botros Daniel الأب بــُــطــرُس دانــيــال who is the director of the Catholic Centre of Cinema in Cairo. Honored also wasthe Egyptian writer and translator Jamal Al-Gheetani جــَــمــَــال الــغــِــيــطــَــانــِــي . The Tunisian writer Ezz Al-Deen Al-Madani عــِــزّ الــدِّيــن الــمــَــدَنــِــي and the Moroccan Sufi writer Thurayiah Iqbal ثــُــرَيـــَّـــا إقــْـــبــَــال were also honored.
