A Visit to Honghe, Yunnan Posted by sasha on Feb 14, 2018 in Culture
Most travelers to Yunnan province stick to the weal-beaten path of Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, and Shangri-la. While these places are all amazing, there’s are so many other smaller towns in this corner of China that are worth a visit. One such town is Honghe, a few hours south of the capital.
I visited Honghe in the lead-up to Spring Festival, as it’s the hometown of one of my friends in Kunming. We enjoyed a couple of days there and I put together this little video highlight so you can see what it’s like in small town China.
