Chorinho Documentary Posted by on Sep 11, 2012 in Uncategorized

Originating from Rio de Janeiro in the 1800s, this type of music combines European and African rhythms, typically with a flute, guitar, and cavaquinho (a small strings instrument). Brazilian singer Aquiles Rique Reis once said that ”choro is classical music played with bare feet and callus on the hands.”
