E aí galera? What’s up, guys?

This month, I’m traveling a lot, and I am late with my lessons, I’m sorry for that. But today I am back, and I have 3 new slang for you guys. So let’s start:

The first slang today is: Bolado. This slang means that you are Sad or Upset, like: “How are you?” “Today I’m sad!” (Hoje eu tô Bolado). Or “I am Upset beacuse of..” (Tô Bolado por cause de..).

The second slang is Vela. That one, if you translate, you will see that the meaning is Candle, but here, in a slang way, means the Third Wheel. The Third Wheel, as you guys know, it is the person how goes out with the couple, but it is alone. So you say: “Today I’m the Third Wheel” (Hoje eu tô de Vela).

And the last slang, actually, they are two slang, but with the same meaning. So we have: Corno and Chifrudo. Corno and Chifrudo, it is how we call in Brazil, people how got cheated. So if you had been cheated, you are Corno and Chifrudo, but if you are a woman, you are Chifruda.

So the slang we saw today were:

BOLADO

VELA

CORNO/CHIFRUDO/CHIFRUDA

So this guys, was today’s lesson, and sorry again that I’m late. Watch the video below, so you guys can see how to pronounce the words in portuguese. I hope you guys enjoy it and if you have any question about this lesson, feel free to ask me here.

Falou!
