Restart is a popular Brazilian pop band especially popular with teenagers. Today, we’re going to listen to some of their interviews to practice listening comprehension.
The band recently got into trouble because of this interview. Why is that?
In this interview, the guys talk about how they got started. When did the idea for the band start?
1. One of the guys said he’d like to play in Amazonas state, in the middle of the jungle, and wondered if there was civilization or even people there (The Amazon isn’t just jungle; Manaus is a large city in Amazonas, and there are other towns, so people were offended).
2. They started in high school, and they first discussed the idea in math class.
3. They came up with the multi-colored pants concept during a photo shoot, when one of them came with bright colored pants; now, they say, their style has helped the band define itself
