In this post, I present the answers of the reading comprehension exercise based on a story adapted from bbcarabic:

أعلنت وزارة الآثار المصرية اكتشاف تمثالين فرعونيين، أحدهما يرجح أنه للملك رمسيس الثاني، والآخر للملك سيتي الثاني، في منطقة المطرية، شرق القاهرة.

ويعود التمثالان لعصر الأسرة التاسعة عشر، وعثر عليهما في محيط بقايا معبد الملك رمسيس الثاني، الذي بناه بالقرب من معابد الشمس بمدينة أون القديمة.

وقد تدول نشطاء عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي صور لانتشال تمثالين أثريين باستخدام جرافات آلية، وأصدرت وزارة الأثار المصرية بيانا ردت فيه على انتقادات لاستخدامها جرافة في انتشال الآثار.

وأوضح رئيس قطاع الآثار المصرية، محمد عفيفي، أن التمثال، الذي يرجح أنه للملك رمسيس الثاني، عُثر عليه مكسورا إلى أجزاء كبيرة. وهو مصنوع من حجر الكوارتز، ويبلغ طوله حوالي ثمانية أمتار.

وقال عفيفي إنه لم يتم رفع التمثال، ولكن جزء من رأسه، باستخدام الرافعة نظرا لثقل وزنه.
