‘Not your habibti’ Project Posted by on Oct 25, 2017 in Arabic Language, Culture, Vocabulary

Today’s post is a comprehension task, based on a short text and audio clip, produced by the BBC Arabic (see video clip below). In this video, you will listen to the founder of the project and the Palestinian activist, Yasmeen Majli, talking about her project ‘Not your habibti’ and its aims.

Earlier last week, BBC Arabic published this report التقرير at a time في وقت when social media users مستخدمو وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي around the world were busy responding to and using the hashtag #MeToo, which was later used in the Arab world  العالم العربي under the hashtag أنا أيضا# The report was included as part of the 100 women 2017 season موسم مئة امرأة لعام ٢٠١٧, which was launched by BBC to celebrate women’s stories and achievement across the world.

I here include the Arabic text that also appears in the link where the video was originally published.
