In this post, I present the answers of the reading comprehension questions in my previous post. The questions are based on the article below adapted from bbcarabic website.

 

الكساد الاقتصادي يدفع 10 آلاف شخص للانتحار

كشفت الدراسة أن خسارة المرء لعمله أو لمنزله أو تراكم الديون عليه من ابرز العوامل التي تدفع المرء للانتحار

أدت الازمة المالية التي عصفت بأوروبا وامريكا الشمالية إلى ازدياد حالات الانتحار لتصل الى أكثر من 10 آلاف حالة وذلك تبعاً لباحثين بريطانيين.

وأظهرت دراسة نشرت في دورية علم النفس البريطانية ان بعض حالات الانتحار كان من الممكن تفاديها لو حصلت على الدعم النفسي اللازم لتخطي هذه المرحلة، لأن بعض الدول لم تشهد ازدياداً في حالات الانتحار.

وأكد فريق البحث أن نتائج هذه الدراسة تبين ما مدى اهمية وجود خدمات جيدة تعنى بالصحة النفسية.

وأجريت الدراسة جامعة اوكسفورد وكلية لندن للصحة والطب الاستوائي،وحللت بيانات من 24 بلدا في الاتحاد الأوروبي والولايات المتحدة وكندا.

وتوصلت الدراسة إلى نتيجة مفادها ان حالات الانتحار في اوروبا كانت متدنية نسبياً عام 2007، إلا أنها ما لبثت ان ازدادت بنسة 6.5 في المئة في 2009، واستمرت هذه النسبة بالارتفاع الى 2011.

وقال فريق البحث إن أوروبا شهدت زيادة في حالات الانتحار لتصل الى 7950 حالة، كما أن حالات الانتحار في كندا كانت منخفضة نسبياً، الا أنها ازدادت بشكل ملحوظ عندما ضرب الركود الاقتصادي البلاد في عام 2009، مما أدى الى انتحار 240 حالة اضافية عن السنوات السابقة.

وازداد عدد حالات الانتحار في الولايات المتحدة الامريكية خلال الازمة الاقتصادية ليصل الى 4750 حالة انتحار.

وأوضحت الدراسة ان السويد وفنلندا والنمسا لم تشهد ازدياد في حالات الانتحار خلال موجة الركود الاقتصادي التي عمت اوروبا.
