In this post, I present a listening comprehension exercise on the most expensive Christmas tree in the world. Listen to the report and answer the questions that follow. If you need help with vocabulary, check the end of the post.

Answer the following questions in English:

1- Where is the most expensive Christmas tree displayed?

2- How tall is the Christmas tree?

3- How much did the tree cost?

Answer the following questions in Arabic:

  1. كم قطعة من المجوهرات تحملها الشجرة؟

  2. لماذا سيقدم الفندق طلبا؟

  3. ما الذي أكده مسؤولون في الفندق؟

Based on the last part of the report, complete the missing words:

مسؤولون في ————— أكدوا أن ———– الشجرة تكمن في —————- المعنوية التي تقدمها وليس في الجانب —————– بالذات وانها ذات شجرة الميلاد منذ ———– الفندق، إلا أن الفرق هذه العام هو ————– تزيينها بالإضافة إلى موظفي ———— يحرسونها على مدار الأربع وعشرين ———————-.

أغلى= The most expensive

شجرة ميلاد = Christmas tree

 ارْتِفاع = Height

احتفال = Celebration

أعياد الميلاد = Christmas

تكلفة = Cost

صناعية = artificial

مجوهرات = Jewellery

كنز = treasure

موسوعة غينيس = Guinness Record

تحتوي على = Containing

الألماس = Diamonds

الزمرد = Emerald

الياقوت = Ruby

الخواتم = Rings

القلائد = Necklaces

الأقراط = Earrings

الأساور = Bracelets

تجربة = Experience

مسؤولون = Officials

قيمة = Values

تكمن في = Lie in

الفرق = difference

تزيين = decoration
