Transparent Language has typically taught other languages via English—a great solution for native English speakers or those who feel comfortable learning in the language. Given the global demand for language skills, though, it’s time for us to step up our game.
We’re excited to announce that Transparent Language Online now offers language learning materials for native Spanish speakers. We’ve started with 39 languages; Spanish speakers can now choose from Arabic (Iraqi or MSA), Bulgarian, Cambodian, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dari, Dutch, English, Farsi, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian and European), Romanian, Russian, Somali, Swahili, Swedish, Tagalog, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, Urdu, and Vietnamese.
Each language includes an 11-unit Essentials course and more than 80 topical vocabulary lists, complete with native speaker audio and pronunciation practice activities. These materials are presented in a localized interface and use Spanish as the known language—no English proficiency required.
