Marhaba! We are going through patchy roads and uncertain times, and it is hard to come across a hopeful news story from anywhere around the globe. But why waste time on things that we cannot change? Let’s focus on something much more interesting, useful, and fun. Given that I know that all you dear Arabic lovers love Fairouz and her beautiful songs, today, I want to share with you another beautiful ballad by the great Fairouz! The song is called Adesh kan fi nas (قديش كان في ناس), which translates to ‘How Many People Were There.’ I have added the song in the form of a YouTube video as well as the lyrics in Arabic. I have also added the lyrics in Arabic so that you can follow and sing with Fairouz, and translated them to English so that you can learn what these beautiful lyrics mean. I ask you all to read these amazing, but somewhat sad, lyrics closely. Enjoy the beautiful music and Fairouz’s mesmerizing voice.

و اللي ذكر كل الناس بالأخر ذكرني
And who remembered all the people in the end remembered me
