Ahlan, Arabic fans! Today I am sharing a beautiful Arabic song by the Moroccan Saad Lmjarred. The song has achieved unsurpassed Arab World Record as it is approaching the 200 million views on Youtube. The Arabic CNN has written an article about the song. Also, Your Middle East has done the same and even shared it with its readers.

    The song is called أنــت مــعـــلــم /enta me’allem/ which is translated as “You Are The Boss”. Actually, the Arabic word مـَــعــَــلــم /ma’allem/ is used in the colloquial Arabic a lot to refer to any craftsman whether he is a carpenter, a tailor, a builder …etc. The term is different from مــُــعــلــّــم /mu’allem/ which means “teacher”.

    The song is in the Moroccan dialect but it has very simple words that can be understood easily and the dialect is very much similar to the Egyptian dialect. It has made great success with its great colorful clip. The Youtube video has English subtitles, so I will just be writing the Arabic words with the translation from the youtube video. Enjoy!
