Achievements in Transparent Language OnlineEver put a task on your to-do list that you already finished, just for the satisfaction of crossing it off?

Maybe that’s just us. But it feels good to see your achievements.

Introducing the Achievements tab in Transparent Language Online where language learners can earn badges that celebrate their progress!

Learners will earn badges for major milestones:

  • Become a Wordsmith by learning 500 new words and phrases.
  • Finish 25 lessons to get the Lesson Trekker badge.
  • Complete an entire course to be known as a Course Conqueror.

And to stay motivated along the way to those milestones, they’ll also get badges for smaller and sillier achievements:Badges in Transparent Language Online

  • Learn before 7am to earn the Early Bird badge.
  • Become a Weekend Warrior by studying your language on a weekend.
  • Learn on Leap Day earns the very elusive Leap Learner badge.

Learners can unlock multiple levels of certain badges as they continue making progress. For example, the first Daily Drive badge is earned after meeting your daily learning goal five days in a row. But you can keep leveling up the badge after learning 25 days, then 50 days, and so on.

Meaghan is the Marketing Communications Manager at Transparent Language. She speaks enough French and Spanish to survive, and remembers enough Hausa to say "Hello my name is Meaghan, I'm studying Hausa." (But sadly that's it).

I like this addition! I don’t want to see the platform gamified like Duolingo or others, but this feels like a nice addition to help track milestones.
