Transparent Language Online Wins 8th Modern Library Award Posted by on Jan 24, 2023 in For Libraries

Move over seven, eight is our lucky number now.

We’re thrilled to receive our 8th consecutive Modern Library Awards Platinum Award for Transparent Language Online!

2018 MLA Awards Transparent LanguageThe Modern Library Awards (MLAs) are like the People’s Choice Awards, but better because the voters are librarians evaluating the products they provide to their patrons. For the 8th year in a row, Transparent Language Online has received a Platinum Award, the highest honor possible.

Our Library Programs Manager, Lauren, gives all the credit back to our library customers:

“Communities constantly expect more and more from their libraries. In turn, libraries expect more from us to help meet their changing needs—and we love that! Their feedback helps us improve. In 2022, public libraries were a primary resource for incoming refugees from Afghanistan, Ukraine, and beyond. Their requests inspired us to create new ESL courses for those populations. We see how hard librarians work to serve their diverse, expanding communities. It’s rewarding to play a small part and have them recognize our hard work too.”

Transparent Language Online updates that libraries loved in 2022 include:
